Description

Delicious roasted Brussels sprouts with olive oil and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/22 pounds Brussels sprouts
  • 4 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Cut off the brown ends of the Brussels sprouts, pull off any yellow and dry leaves, and slice the Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with 3 tablespoons olive oil, kosher salt, pepper, and garlic powder, if desired, until well coated.
  4. Transfer the vegetables to a large, lightly greased baking sheet with olive oil or cooking spray.
  5. Roast them for 35 to 45 minutes, until they are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
  6. Taste and season with more kosher salt if needed.
  7. Serve the dish warm, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste for desired flavor.
  • Use fresh Brussels sprouts for best results.
