Description

This refreshing cranberry jalapeno dip is perfect for parties and gatherings. Serve it chilled with your favorite snacks!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200g) fresh cranberries
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (115g) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) lime juice
  • 1/4 cup (15g) fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, jalapenos, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fold the cooled cranberry-jalapeno mixture into the cream cheese mixture until evenly incorporated.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled with crackers, tortilla chips, or vegetable sticks.
