- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, for garnish
- Cooked white rice, for serving
- Steamed or sautéed vegetables (optional)
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
- Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve beef over cooked rice. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Optional: Serve with steamed or sautéed vegetables on the side.

- Adjust the level of spiciness by adding or omitting the crushed red pepper flakes.
