Description

A delicious and easy recipe for ham and cheese sliders using sweet Hawaiian rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 sweet slider rolls
  • 1 pound deli ham (honey ham or Black Forest ham)
  • 8 slices white cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut individual rolls almost in half, stopping right before reaching the opposite side so the top is still attached to the bottom. Continue until all the rolls are cut.
  3. Take the cheddar cheese and cut 8 slices in half giving you 16 half slices. Place one half slice on the bottom of each sweet roll. Optionally fold the half slices in half one more time to fit better on the sliders.
  4. Take the deli ham, fold it, and place it on top of the cheddar cheese. Repeat until all sandwiches have deli ham.
  5. Repeat the process with Swiss cheese, placing it on top of the deli ham.
  6. Repeat the process again with provolone cheese on top of the Swiss cheese.
  7. Gently push the top down to prepare for the topping mixture.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and dried minced onion.
  9. Slowly spoon the topping mixture onto all the ham and cheese sliders, allowing it to roll down the sides if needed.
  10. Cover with foil to prevent browning on top while cooking.
  11. Place in the oven and cook for 15 minutes. Keep the foil on for the first 10 minutes, then remove for the last 5 minutes for toasting. Alternatively, keep the foil on for the entire cook time if you prefer a softer top.
  12. Remove sliders from the oven when done, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • These sliders can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Feel free to customize the cheese types or add different ingredients like mustard for extra flavor.
