Description
A quick and delicious side dish of green beans sautéed in garlic and butter.
Ingredients

- 2 cups green beans (fresh, trimmed)
- 1 tbsp butter (unsalted)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
- pinch chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat for a minute or two until it’s nice and hot.
- Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter to the skillet, letting it sizzle and melt.
- Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Toss in 2 cups of fresh, trimmed green beans, letting them soak up that garlic butter.
- Sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper; adjust based on taste.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the green beans are tender-crisp.
- Remove from heat and add a pinch of chili flakes or 1 tablespoon of lemon juice if desired.
Notes
- This dish can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Feel free to adjust seasoning to your preference.
