Description

These homemade crackers are deliciously simple and perfect for snacking!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Extra Butter For Topping
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 6 tbsp Water

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and mix it well with the flour and salt.
  2. Slowly add the tablespoons of water, one at a time, mixing well. Avoid adding too much water to prevent sticky dough; aim for a smooth dough.
  3. Roll out the dough until very thin, about 1/8 inch. This can be done directly on the baking stone or on a floured surface, then transferred to a greased baking sheet or stone.
  4. Parchment paper can be used to avoid greasing.
  5. Score the dough with a pizza cutter.
  6. Lightly brush the tops with butter and sprinkle with a little salt, if desired.
  7. Bake in the oven at 400°F for about 15 minutes.
  8. Crackers will harden more as they cool.
  9. Enjoy plain or with a dip.
