Description
A bright and tangy homemade ponzu sauce perfect for dipping or dressing.
Ingredients

- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- ½ cup bonito flakes
- 1 piece kombu (approx. 3x5 inches)
Instructions
- Zest one of the lemons and juice the rest.
- Chop or cut up the kombu into small pieces.
- In a jar with a lid combine all the ingredients.
- Give this a good shake and then tuck it away in your refrigerator for 3 days.
- Strain the sauce so no large pieces remain.
- Use your homemade ponzu or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or more.
